About Us: Profile

In 1988 the now Managing Director of DKTOB Pty Ltd, Ian Bruce, recognised problems associated with using paper records in the documenting of time and attendance by staff in delivering community based care services. Not because the staff needed to checked up on, but for the amount of time it took gather and process all the relevant paper work, and the accuracy and division of times recorded for various types of billable tasks performed by staff. The concept of DAELIBS (Data Analysis Electronically Logged Information Based System) was conceived as a way to remove paper records and increase the efficiency of the administration process associated with document time records in the delivery of care services.

In 1998 Ian formed the Company, DAELIBS Keeping Track of Business (DKTOB Pty Ltd) and released the fist version of the DAELIBS data loggers into the Australian Market. The success of the first pilot site to use DAELIBS went beyond all expectations. Across the board up to 20% were reported by the Service Provider manager.

Very quickly after this successful pilot installation inquiries from other service industries created a demand for DAELIBS Loggers. Because of the Australian design and the affordable price, (a third of the price of imported iButton readers) the security industry sort the DAELIBS Loggers for managing their patrol services.

Over the past six years DKTOB has taken a very proactive Research and Development approach to the evolution of DAELIBS products. The range of DAELIBS Data Loggers has now exceeds ten different versions, including RS232 and RS42s communication protocols. In 2002 the SeeknFind Web browser data analysis and reporting software package was developed and released to the market.

DKTOB has an ongoing commitment to Research and Development of product applications. In June 2004, by the awarding of an Information Technology On-Line (ITOL) grant, the dedication and the success of DKTOB’s development capabilities has been recognised by the Australian Government’s Department of Communication, Information Technology and the Arts, (DCITA). DKTOB will lead a consortium to develop Connecting Child Care Australia, an Internet based child care attendance package.

DKTOB is based in it’s own office premises where the dedicated team of four work to maintain the daily business operations of the Company. Supporting the core team is a number of contracted highly skilled professional hardware and software technicians.

Managing Director Bruce reflects, “the objective of delivering, at an affordable price, high quality solutions products that are at the cutting edge of the required commercial and industrial market is a challenge that stimulates us to attain the success we currently enjoy. The fact we are a small organisation has not impeded us from servicing government and multinational companies. Our policy of dedication to customer’s requirements and willing ness to promptly respond to service and support requests is a philosophy that is central to our business operations”.
